Friday Faves {9/28}

The chill in the air this morning felt decidedly fall, but I’m still looking forward to 70 degree temps this afternoon.  Given the autumnal start to the day,  I decided replace my usually yogurt berry combo with some pumpkin and cinnamon.

Greek yogurt, pumpkin, cinnamon, vital protein collagen peptides, banana and granola.  Pumpkin makes this meal extra filling and the banana and granola add some texture.

Having fresh highlights is the best – especially when the salon serves wine!  I told the stylist that I wanted to go a little less blonde and the next day I saw this article on Laura’s feed. I’m by no means a brunette, but I’ve often wondered if it would help my career.

Have I been wrong about SoulCycle all these years?  I had a free class through work, and it was one of the most amazing spin classes I’ve taken in years.  The instructor knew everyone’s name and seemingly their whole life’s story.  He also played lots of 90s grunge, which I appreciated.  Made me miss having a flannel tied around my waist.  In any event, I think there is room for more than 1 spin studio in my life.

Standing Desks.  In my last job, I ran around from building to building and meeting to meeting all the time. My current job is extremely sedentary and I find myself getting restless while sitting at my desk for long stretches.  This week I experimented with standing while working by putting my laptop on a box and raising my extra monitor to the highest height.  I started off by standing 10 minutes an hour and during phone calls.  I think it’s time to go ahead and buy a standing desk.  I’m looking at these two. If you have a standing desk, do you use it? Have you noticed a difference? Like it? Hate it?

Tonight we plan to have dinner at Wildair. It’s walk in only, so hopefully the wait isn’t too long. If you follow the NYTimes food critic, he’s a big fan, so we’re excited to check it out.

We have a wedding on Saturday night, so we’ll be heading out of town tomorrow afternoon.

I’ve seen so many articles about La Croix lately, but this one is pretty hysterical:

Don’t Even Think About Talking to Me Until I’ve Had My Second La Croix
